This was a gift and so I was dissappointed that at this price point it didn't come in a box - and I was hard pressed to find one that fit. It came only sealed in thin plastic. The plastic made it look cheap, so I removed that before wrapping. It did protect it I suppose because there was not a scratch on it. I also bought a datebook to put in one of the pockets because it only came with a pad of paper.
