I have been using this Backpack for a few months during my International and Domestic business trips. It wraps around of my suitcase roller bag extension handle as I tend not to carry it on my back. I purchased it to replace an older Tumi laptop carrying bag which was larger and therefore I stuffed more paper or other items into thus ending up with more weight to drag around when travelling. My goal is to get on and off any plane with this Backpack and my roller bag as carryon luggage. The handle grip on the top of the pack is firm and solid so it is easy to lift and move around on a plane. The shoulder straps are quite wide and distribute the packs weight nicely. Plenty of internal pouches and sleeves to put thing in which can be challenge to remember for those once in a while reach for items.
As similar models are reviewed I found this one to have only enough room for my laptop, electrical charger and cords, some file folders along with a thick folio and a paperback book. The folio for 8.5 x 11 notebook fits inside the main pack opening when I close the zippers. It holds my noise cancellation headphones and I use the unique sewn in camera compartment for storing all of my cords and related cables, international plug or other PC kit. It could hold an IPad quite easily alongside the laptop in its separate zipper compartment while offering protection for both. I like the red interior as it makes it easy to find items. Not a lot of rooms for much more, the internal pockets are ample in size and quite useable for eyeglass cases, laptop laser pointer controller or other like sized items. It would be stretch to put a jacket inside it or a pair of casual shoes in it along with the other items I mentioned earlier. It is not for stuffing so the weight is lower and the attraction for me.
Nicely shaped, smooth appearance and I do not have any issue with it falling over when I stand it upright. When unzipped the main compartment is accessible but not wide open so that when you are searching through it from above in a vertical position it is not always convenient so you lay it down to get it wide open. I really like it; it is different form a Tumi over the shoulder messenger type laptop bag. I would not part with it for a larger or smaller size as it is just right for my needs and the quality of the fabric, zippers and overall finish is excellent! The other reviews on this similar bag helped me to make this choice so I hope this review gives you some insight as well.
