I bought this bag because it is thin, it has clean lines, and it's just the right size for carrying some paperwork. It is actually designed to carry a thin laptop PC. The inside dimensions of the main compartment are: 14.5 inches wide by 12 inches tall by about 1 or maybe 1.25 inches thick. Again, these are the inside dimensions of the main compartment. A sturdy zipper runs along the top edge of the bag where the handle is. If you plan to carry a laptop in this bag, it had better be a thin one, otherwise it will be a tight fit. In addition to the main compartment there is another, zippered compartment on the outside that is about 14 inches by 11.5 inches. This compartment is also zippered along the top. This compartment is very thin. You can slide some papers or a few magazines into it. On the other side there is a large flap that covers another compartment designed to hold pens, business cards, checkbook, cell phone, etc. There are about 7 pockets in this compartment. I have found that it can be difficult to retrieve small items from a few of the pockets because they are narrow and deep. After a while, you will learn not to put small items in certain pockets. The large flap is held closed by Velcro. Each time you open the flap you hear that "ripping" noise from the Velcro. The bag is not made of Corinthian leather. But, it looks nice because of it's clean lines. It's a nice looking bag. My only real complaint is that it does not open up completely (like a suitcase does). The opening runs along the top only, where the handle is. When you need to get something out of the bag, you need to reach down into it (envision a woman rummaging through a large purse and you will get the idea). The shoulder strap is not removeable. I see that the description says 15.4". This is the interior DIAGONAL dimension. A thin laptop that has a 15" screen or smaller will fit. If you have a laptop that has a screen larger than 15" diagonal, it will not fit inside this bag.
