I ordered this case for a brand new laptop. The case arrived promptly and it's a perfect fit. The color is great and it appears to be well made and good quality. Its a simple design that serves it purpose well. All in all it's perfect except for the smell. Honestly the product rates a 5 but the smell rates a 2. I know its a weird thing to include in a review of a lap top case but it's almost overpowering.

I opened the package and immediately noticed a very chemical, plastic odor. I thought, "Well, it's new" but its been a couple of days and its still really strong. It's hard to describe but it's almost a scorched or burnt plastic smell that is sort of sour and lingers. I love the case but can't deal with the smell. It's not just me. My wife entered the room and asked if I smelled something burning! I'll try fabreeze or leave it in the sun and hope for the best.

I hate I can't rank it higher but whatever it's made of is really chemical and strong. Almost headache strong. I don't usually review things but felt compelled for this because it's permeated my briefcase, my fingers and my new laptop...and i can smell it from 5 feet away where it sits now
