After reading some of the reviews here, I got the distinct impression that some did not actually purchase this case. I did and it's a great case.
There are actually 2 padded, zippered compartments that could conceivably hold 2 netbooks (I tried it). One is top-opening and one side-opening. Also the 2 pockets can hold the power cords for both netbooks. Admittedly, this makes for a tightly-packed and somewhat heavy bundle that may not afford much protection... but it can be done.
A better configuration would be to use the top-opening compartment for the netbook and the side-opening compartment for a small paper notepad or CDs/DVDs; one pocket for the cord and the other for a phone or misc.
The top-opening compartment is slightly bigger--more comfortable for the netbook. Note that I said NETbook not NOTEbook computer. This should not be considered for anything beyond a 10" screen netbook.
The sturdy handle has elastic bands at the base which automatically draw it into the middle of the case halves when not in use. That's why the photo shows no handle.
As shown in the photos, the case opens flat. Each compartment is backed by Velcro strips that can be separated to open and make the case lie completely flat. (Each compartment remains closed.) I don't see the advantage of this myself but some may find a use and it's not a disadvantage.
The pockets do not open terribly wide; there seems to be about a .5" gusset at each side. The Velcro closure on each is secure.
Overall, this case is a vast improvement over any neoprene sleeve that used to be the only option for protection. The padding. sturdy fabric, and handle make this a very useful upgrade. Very nice!
