I have a Lands End bag that has been traveling around the world with me for more than a decade (or two). It's been looking pretty sad for a while now, but Lands End isn't what it used to be and it stopped making anything like these square riggers years ago. I need to fit my 17-inch laptop along with cables, files, headphones, and snacks into a bag that is small enough to carry on as an extra item on domestic and international flights. I've been hunting for a replacement for a long time...

My wife has a B&R rolling case that I've envied for some time, but it is not big enough for the large laptop.

So, I was thrilled to find this B&R Verb Roam. It has all of the little pockets, key clip, dividers, and space that I loved in my LE bag, but it has wheels, too!

The size and organization of the pockets is better than the LE bag (which, in all fairness, was made before cell phones, SD cards, iPods, and so on).

As a B&R case, the quality of the bag's construction and materials is outstanding. The design of the case is brilliant, and I love that they put the handle on the outside (so it doesn't interfere with the case contents in any way at all.

This isn't a low cost item, but I think if I adjust the cost of my LE bag for inflation over ten or twenty years, it might just be a good bargain.

The clincher for me is the B&R warranty. If it breaks, they fix it or replace it. Period. The way bag handlers beat up checked luggage, I wouldn't buy any other brand for bags that I have to check. Although this is a carry-on, I use my bag almost every day and it gets banged around.
