Strained eyes and headaches are often caused by reading glossy screens for a long period of time. Users usually compromise the lost of image quality and color contrast by using bad quality screen protectors on the market. First and foremost, I had purchased a Kuzy 13' screen protector for my late 2008 Aluminum MacBook. The Kuzy one was ok, but deformed and quite frankly just lackluster. Not even worth the $13 at the time of purchase.Enter the Luxa2. I purchased this one on the great review from GadgetMac. I have to say, I couldn't agree more with his review. This screen protector is nothing short of spectacular. This is not, I repeat, NOT, a matte screen protector. It's perfectly clear. It does however have an AR coating that is supposed to reduce reflections. Verdict? Works, but isn't extremely stunning. It does make a difference, a heck of a good difference, but you will still have minimal reflections. Though really, considering it isn't matte, it's crystal clear... it's easily worth the 5 star rating.
Application was also easy with all the included goodies. It comes with two blue sticky pads (ie tape with an extremely low tack backing) which makes pulling out dust a cinch. There is no cut out for the iSight camera nor the MacBook text but since it's clear it isn't necessary at all (Skype and Facetime work just as normal without the cut out, you can't even tell there's a layer of film over the camera). The top lining of the protector is marked with a "This side up" with an arrow just to make sure you place it on the screen properly.
The only thing you need to be aware of is the size of the protector. It's cut maybe .5mm small on all sides, so application must be accurate, else you're going to have to start all over again, and for those of us who have installed multiple screen protectors know... we try to avoid that at all costs.
All in all, Luxa2 (aka ThermalTake) did one heck of a job with this protector. I'm not a fan of ThermalTake as a company in general when it comes to PC parts for custom rigs, but they certainly knocked the ball out of the park with this protector. I honestly couldn't be happier! :D
