Manhattan Portage Laptop Bag, Olive Review

Very nice small bag, I bought it for short day trips, especially when travelling. When travelling, I nest this bag inside of my Tom Bihn Aeronaught, and it works quite well. (I am a fan of the Tom Bihn bags and this one is of similar size to their cafe bag, but they don't offer one with a built in laptop compartment.)

The padded compartment is quite nice and works well for either my 13" macbook pro or my ipad. The velcro strap that keeps your laptop in place is quite nice and sturdy. I like the structure of the bag - it's well made and keeps the shape. It has a nice amount of pockets, including the main compartment, laptop pouch, and a bonus slot behind the laptop pouch, as well as a snap pocket on the front, magazine slot on back, and zipper pocket on flap. I'm using the zipper flap to store business cards and it's nice to always have one at the ready when attending conferences.

Two things I would change or love to see on this bag:

1. Pen holders/slots - there are none and I wish there were. I'm carrying my pens loose in the bottom of the bag, which is not the handiest to locate.
2. I dislike the aesthetic of the plastic latch on the flap. To my eye, it looks cheap and like an afterthought. I would love to see it more integrated into the design.

With that being said, these points are relatively minor, and I do like the bag a lot and will continue to use it. I think that it's a good value for the price point and expect that it will last a long time.

Mobile Edge MEB17P 17.3-Inch Premium Laptop Briefcases Review

After spending weeks deciding which case to buy, I think I found the best briefcase in the market! As you probably know, it's very difficult to find a good-looking 17" executive case, but this is the perfect solution!

First of all, I have to accept it is a little heavy. However, I think you should be aware that buying a 17" laptop implies carrying some extra weight with you. If you want a quality case (like this), then you have to accept some extra pounds. The material is excellent and it will certainly last a lifetime.

Regarding the size, I have an HP dv9500 and it fit perfect in the notebook pocket. This pocket is padded with a foam that avoids your laptop to get damaged in case of falling. I don't know if they improve that foam, but I think it will also last a lifetime.

There are a countless number of pockets, compartments and divisions, so you can carry all your accessories, papers, etc. The grip is made of a gel that makes carrying the case a real pleasure.

The only observation I have to make is that you can't remove the cover flap. Although MobileEdge advertise this product in their web page as it could be possible to remove the flap, it really isn't. However, I think it looks much greater with the flap and gives you a little more security.

I give this case a 5-star review without doubts!!

I have a 13 inch Macbook Pro and this sleeve fits perfectly. The color is gorgeous and looks just like the picture. This product was shipped the next day and arrived quickly. It's good to protect against scratches and little things, but it's not very sturdy and water/ crumbs can easily get in because there is no zipper. I travel a lot and was looking for something that I could use to replace my carry-on suitcase and laptop bag for the short trips where I only needed one or two changes of clothes. This past week I got to put it to the test on a whirl-wind trip to the west coast. I loaded up my laptop and clean clothes. The bag easily accommodated everything without feeling over stuffed.
