I thought this would be the perfect bag, the reviews were great, the size just right and I liked the inside from the pictures. It was amazing for the first few months but then the middle section between the laptop side and purse side started to look messy and off and it wasn't quite as easy to zip anymore. It needs either a different fabric in that middle section or something more substantial than just that foam piece so it wouldn't crumple in on itself. Somehow it needs more stability there to help keep it's shape and keep the zipper aligned so it zips without having to put the purse down and line it up first. The way it is now I just don't like using it if I don't have a book or my laptop in the laptop side.

The other problem I had was with the little pocket for a pen. I used it. The bottom of that little pen holder is low in the bag so I didn't realize it didn't have a bottom to it like all the other pockets do and when I put my pen in it if the pen hadn't been clicked to retract the ball point end it marked up the bottom of the light grey interior. I didn't realize it was happening at first because my other things hid it and now my purse is all marked by black pen. And because the middle section mentioned above is so floppy it moved a lot and got a large section of the bottom of the purse marked up with ink.

Its a shame. For a $200 purse/tote these problems are relatively easy to fix so the purchaser would have a bag they loved for many years instead of having a purse they look at saying "I sure wish there was a way I could fix these problems so I liked this bag I just spent so much money on". As it is now I switch bags a lot. If the laptop side isn't going to be used I use another bag. I bought this particular purse precisely so as not to have to do that. I really wanted to love this purse/bag.
