Recently while traveling the strap broke for the third time on my Tumi bag and I had to find a replacement quickly.

This bag I chose after looking around several dept stores, luggage stores, and electronics shops.

Pros: strap well attached to bag (obviously a key concern at the time) with an x-in-a-box stitching pattern;
Nice organization and lots of room:
flap zipper opens to single pocket
front zipper opens to single pocket
inside bag, on front side, is another zipper compartment with two inner pockets (good for cash, other valuables), 3 mesh pockets below (1 fits CDs, 2 others fit iPod touch or smartphone).
inside bag, outside inner computer carrier, are two open pockets appropriate for cords / AC adaptors / etc.
back zipper opens to a pocket the size of a US letter or A4 size notebook.

The bag doesn't expand but unlike some bags, when all the pockets have something, the bag is not so full you worry that something will break if you close the bag.

The price is reasonable (ok, so I am comparing it to Tumi).

Cons:
velcro closure to main flap (lots of noise, never feel it is as secure as clips or snaps)
a pocket in the main flap of a messenger bag invites you to put things inside, but if the pocket contains more than an ID and a pen or two it can make the flap tricky to maneuver easily
PVC waterproof material does not appear to be the same strength as ballistic nylon
