DAKINE Liberty Laptop Tote (Belle) Review

I got this bag to tote my laptop to and from my school as well as my internship, and will probably use it as my carry-on bag for the plane as well. First of all, it's huge! Bigger than I expected it to be. The pocket in side is big enough for my laptop (I use a 11" Macbook Air or a 13" Macbook) and then some. It has 3 pockets on the inside that I typically stash a small notebook, pens, or my computer charger in along with some other small things. Today carried my computer, computer charger, a water bottle, a pair of flip flops, my lunch bag, makeup bag, wallet, umbrella, and rain jacket in this thing. The straps are pretty comfortable and don't cut into my shoulder at all which has been a problem in the past. I do wish the Dakine logo wasn't so obvious on the outside, or that the print and zippers were a gray instead of a bright green. It makes it feel more like luggage than a sophisticated bag. Also, be aware that the inside of the bag is a bright green funky flower pattern. This turned me off a little because it's kind of obnoxious, but the bag is still great and I probably would have still bought it even if I knew that before purchasing.

Bower SCB2450 Elite Pro Bag Series DSLR Zoom Sling Bag (Black) Review

I like it. The strap is adjustable but it crosses from right shoulder down to left side. You can not change that. Fine by me. When you pull it around to your chest the top of the bag points left and the bottom points right. The zippers pull from top to bottom on the side. Obviously the side facing you, otherwise everything would fall out the bottom now wouldn't it. Today's education isn't all that great, now we have to point out the obvious. Anyway, the inside of the bag is lined with padding. It's fine for occasional bumps but don't be rough with it. The inside has moveable sections. I can fit my kodak z990 and a smaller camera too, along with miscellaneous small items- all separated by padded moveable dividers. Traveling in large crowded metropolitan areas? swing it around to your front. I have no idea if you'd hear the velcro or the zipper undone, or if it resists cutting etc.

LE Reporter Bag for MacBook 13, MacBook Pro 13, and MacBook Pro 15 Review

Recently while traveling the strap broke for the third time on my Tumi bag and I had to find a replacement quickly.

This bag I chose after looking around several dept stores, luggage stores, and electronics shops.

Pros: strap well attached to bag (obviously a key concern at the time) with an x-in-a-box stitching pattern;
Nice organization and lots of room:
flap zipper opens to single pocket
front zipper opens to single pocket
inside bag, on front side, is another zipper compartment with two inner pockets (good for cash, other valuables), 3 mesh pockets below (1 fits CDs, 2 others fit iPod touch or smartphone).
inside bag, outside inner computer carrier, are two open pockets appropriate for cords / AC adaptors / etc.
back zipper opens to a pocket the size of a US letter or A4 size notebook.

The bag doesn't expand but unlike some bags, when all the pockets have something, the bag is not so full you worry that something will break if you close the bag.

The price is reasonable (ok, so I am comparing it to Tumi).

Cons:
velcro closure to main flap (lots of noise, never feel it is as secure as clips or snaps)
a pocket in the main flap of a messenger bag invites you to put things inside, but if the pocket contains more than an ID and a pen or two it can make the flap tricky to maneuver easily
PVC waterproof material does not appear to be the same strength as ballistic nylon

The wool felt is very gentle and protective for the mac.
Everything is made from very high quality material, like the vegetable dyed leather.
