Solar BearBackpack is a fully functioning solar powered bag. With three solar panels attached to the outside of the bag, this bag will charge almost any cell phone or small portable device. The bag has one large compartment which can fit larger supplies and also has a padded storage spot for a laptop. The middle compartment is large enough to fit other large supplies. The smallest compartment contains the charging device and lots of little compartments for organization including an ID and pen holder. It would have been GREAT if this product worked.. Unfortunately, I was sent a defective unit. I charged the battery pack to full via ac/usb cable, the LED1 light turned from red to green and still, it does NOT charge anything when flipped to 5.5v.. I tried charging my Ipod, cellphone, camera, tablet, nothing.... The good news? the LED2 flashlight works which is built into the battery unit.... Another thing which is VERY weird, when I plugged in my Droid Razr Maxx cellphone into the charging battery unit, my cell phone started freaking out and dialing numbers on its own like it was possessed. Very weird..

After modifications, this is a good solar backpack. Replace the battery and all attachments.:-). 3 stars.

update, the backpack is still holding up well but it chafes the back of my neck a little and one or two of the zippers has fallen off.
